Magneto's Plastic Prison - Magneto is a mutant with the ability to control metal; at the end of the first X-Men movie, he is kept in a prison made entirely out of plastic.
Heathcliff - A character in Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte; he adopts his "nephew" (Heathcliff himself was adopted, so they weren't blood-related) and treats him as a house servant.
Mrs. Doubtfire's brother - A Robin Williams movie. He goes to his effeminate brother and asks him to make him into a woman - Mrs. Doubtfire - in order to be involved in his kids' lives after a divorce.
Other notes:
- The Prince and the Pauper is another book by Mark Twain
- Dances With Wolves is a, you guessed it, Kevin Costner movie
- Vanilla Coke tastes good
- Huck keeps popping up in the story, in my rough drafts, and in my plans; he will not be going away (if it was never required reading for you, read it!)
